The Steady Practice is a monthly rhythm of grounded yoga, simple meditation, and women’s circles designed to support real life. It’s a space to move, breathe, and reconnect in ways that feel simple, steady, and doable.

This is a place for women to belong, to return, and to build consistency over time, together.

Who I am

Hi, I’m Anna.
If you’re looking for a perfectly polished yoga teacher who floats around speaking only in whispers, I’m probably not your person.

I’ve been teaching yoga for over 18 years and practicing for 20, and what I know is this: healing doesn’t come from pretending to be peaceful. It comes from staying with yourself when the ground shifts. From learning how to sit in the dark long enough to hear what’s actually calling you.

I’m a Chicago native—direct, warm, sharp-tongued when needed. I don’t easily tolerate bullshit. I hold space with devotion for whatever shows up—rage, grief, numbness, longing, joy.

I’ve moved through my own long seasons of anxiety, depression, burnout, and deep disconnection. I know what it’s like to do everything “right” and still feel lost. This work isn’t something I mastered—it’s something I practice. Again and again. And it’s an honor to practice alongside you.

I’m also a massage therapist and pelvic health physical therapy assistant, which means my teaching is rooted in the body—its rhythms, its wisdom, its capacity to heal when we listen. My work is grounded, intuitive, trauma-aware, and deeply respectful of the nervous system.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me wandering forest trails, brewing tea with foraged herbs, listening to Björk, Nine Inch Nails, or Tori Amos, and snuggling with my pitbull.
